How the hybrid drive works

To start the Yaris's hybrid system, press the POWER button, or turn the

ignition key to ACC, and depress the brake pedal at the same time.

The heat engine will only start if the temperature of the heat engine fluid, the charge level

of the HV SOC battery, the temperature of the HV battery and the electrical load require its

goodwill.

If you stop the vehicle and place the gear lever in 'P', without setting the button to OFF

POWER or remove the ignition key, the HV ECU keeps the heat engine active for

recharge the high-voltage battery until the prescribed SOC level is reached.

Only for equipment with the keyless entry and start system, if required

To deactivate the electric drive system while driving, press the POWER button for

at least 2 seconds or 3 times in a row.

Maintenance Mode ( Emergency/Maintenance/Revision Mode )

In the event of an overhaul, the following must be carried out to check the emissions of the heat engine

use a procedure to force the heat engine to start (Maintenance Mode).

Do the following within 60 seconds

With the gear lever in 'P" press 2 times the pedal accelerator

With the gear lever in 'N" press 2 times the pedal accelerator

With the gear lever in 'P" press 2 times the pedal accelerator
