The Privacy Policy is intended to describe the management of personal data collected by MarelliAftermarket Italy S.p.A. through this website, in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR - General Data Protection Regulation) on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing and free movement of personal data.

Personal data collection

The personal data that may be collected are as follows:

- personal data provided to receive a specific service (e.g. name and contact details);

- browsing data (e.g. IP address, location - country, information about the pages visited by the user within the website, time spent on the website, time spent on each page, clickstream analysis. Although the Company does not collect this information to associate it with specific users, it is possible to identify such users directly through this information or by using other information collected);

PURPOSES AND METHODS OF PROCESSING

The personal data collected ('Data') may be processed for the following purposes:

- to execute a specific user request or provide the requested service ('Service');

- allow the Company to carry out surveys aimed at improving the quality of the products and services provided, based on the Company's legitimate interest ('Customer Satisfaction').

- improve the user experience on the Company's websites.

The Data may be processed by paper, automated or electronic means and, in particular, by ordinary mail or email, telephone (e.g. automated calls, SMS, MMS), fax and any other IT channel (e.g. websites, mobile app).

OTHER ENTITIES THAT MAY PROCESS DATA

Data may be processed by entities operating on behalf of the Company and by virtue of specific contractual obligations, in EU or non-EU countries.

Data may be disclosed to third parties to fulfil legal obligations, to comply with orders from public authorities or to exercise a right of the Company in court.

DATA TRANSFER OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA (EEA)

In the context of the Company's contractual relations, Data may be transferred outside the territory of the European Economic Area (EEA), also by means of the inclusion of the same in databases managed by third party companies, operating on behalf of the Company. The management of the databases and the processing of the Data are bound to the purposes for which they were collected and are carried out in full compliance with the applicable law on the protection of personal data.

Whenever Data is transferred outside the EEA, the Company shall take all appropriate and necessary contractual measures to ensure an adequate level of Data protection, including, among others, agreements based on the standard contractual clauses for the transfer of data outside the EEA, approved by the European Commission.

Third-party websites accessible from this site are the responsibility of third parties.

The Company disclaims all liability for requests and/or provision of personal data to third-party websites.

DATA CONTROLLER  

The data controller is Marelli Aftermarket Italy S.p.A., with registered office in viale Aldo Borletti 61/63 - 20011 Corbetta (MI).

DATA RETENTION

Data processed to provide the Service and for Customer Satisfaction will be kept by the Company for the period deemed strictly necessary to achieve these purposes.

However, the Company may continue to store such Data for a longer period in order to be able to handle any disputes related to the provision of the Service.

Data processed to improve the user experience on the websites will be retained for the periods indicated in the Cookie Policy.

RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT

The data subject is granted the following rights:

- right of access, i.e. the right to obtain from the Company confirmation as to whether or not Data are being processed and, if so, to obtain access to them;

- Right of rectification and erasure, i.e. the right to have inaccurate Data rectified and/or incomplete Data supplemented or erased for legitimate reasons;

- the right to restriction of processing, i.e. the right to request the suspension of processing where there are legitimate reasons;

- the right to data portability, i.e. the right to receive the Data in a structured, commonly used and readable format, as well as the right to transmit the Data to another data controller;

- right to object, i.e. the right to object to the processing of Data where there are legitimate grounds, including the processing of Data for marketing and profiling purposes, if any;

- right to appeal to the competent data protection authority in the event of unlawful processing of Data.

CHANGES

This Privacy Policy came into force on 22/05/2018.

The Company reserves the right to amend the Privacy Policy in whole or in part or simply to update its content (e.g. due to changes in applicable law). The Company will publish any updates on this website.
