today we present the case of a car with around 14,000 km driven exclusively in the city for short journeys<\/p>\n

mil light on and DPF clogged .<\/p>\n

In diagnosis we read the error code\u00a0\u00a0 P24A4-00 - PARTICULATE LOAD <\/span><\/p>\n

in the engine ecu parameters we read that theDPF clogging value is 107%<\/p>\n

In such cases, we read in the manufacturer's manual that the DPF must be checked.<\/p>\n

and regeneration must also be performed with a diagnostic tester<\/p>\n

Below is the procedure :<\/p>\n

\u00a0- PARTICULATE FILTER (D.P.F.) - REGENERATION WITH DIAGNOSTIC TOOL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/td>\nTHIS PROCEDURE GENERATES VERY HIGH EXHAUST TEMPERATURES, DO NOT REPEAT A SECOND REGENERATION PROCEDURE UNTIL 30 MINUTES HAVE ELAPSED SINCE THE END OF THE FIRST ONE.<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n
<\/td>\nA CLOGGING VALUE OF 70 - 75% CORRESPONDS TO A NORMAL CONDITION THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE THE REGENERATION PROCEDURE TO BE STARTED.<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Before starting this procedure, please do the following:<\/strong>1. check that the exhaust pipe is clean on the outside and in the immediate vicinity;2. remove the gas extraction plug from the exhaust pipe and ensure that no-one passes near the exhaust pipe during the entire procedure;3. place the vehicle in an open area away from heat sources;4. keep the bonnet open during the entire procedure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/td>\nThe conditions required to carry out this procedure are:<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

  1. water temperature greater than 70 \u00b0C;2. vehicle stationary;3. engine idling;4. brake and clutch pedal released.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
