{"id":7076,"date":"2019-05-07T10:07:03","date_gmt":"2019-05-07T08:07:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.checkstar-techblog.it\/?p=7076"},"modified":"2019-05-07T10:07:03","modified_gmt":"2019-05-07T08:07:03","slug":"opel-corsa-d","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.checkstar-techblog.it\/en\/opel-corsa-d\/","title":{"rendered":"Opel Corsa D"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good morning, everyone,<\/p>\n<p>Today we present the case reported by your colleague from the F.lli Bertolla workshop in Carrara:<\/p>\n<p>Opel Corsa D, 1.2 LPG from 2013 with errors in ABS control unit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>C0244 ABS control module - invalid data received from engine control unit;<\/li>\n<li>C0242 Motor torque request - range\/yield fault.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7088 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.checkstar-techblog.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/COAS11_E01_742_SIZE4-300x152.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"152\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.checkstar-techblog.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/COAS11_E01_742_SIZE4-300x152.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.checkstar-techblog.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/COAS11_E01_742_SIZE4.jpg 314w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The car then also has a rather high engine idle when the engine is warm, but no errors in the engine control unit.<\/p>\n<p>From the description of the errors, it initially seems to be a communication or CAN network problem, also due to the lack of errors in ECM, but on checking, no anomalies emerge.<\/p>\n<p>Checking the intake air intake, it was then discovered that a bolt was missing from the intake manifold at the tappet cover: when the engine was hot, this expanded and thus allowed air to infiltrate.<\/p>\n<p>Once the bolt was put back on and the manifold tightened to torque, the idle speed returned to normal and the ABS errors also changed from Active to Memorised.
