This\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">However, it also occurs under special conditions, for example when driving uphill with very low grip, and becomes a major problem: when it intervenes automatically, the ASR system immediately removes power from the engine until the vehicle comes to a standstill.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Many cars therefore have a button on board to deactivate the ASR in order to remedy the inconvenience. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">When the need is over, the ASR must be switched back on because it is not recommended to keep it disabled during normal driving.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">On the Prius this opportunity is not there, or rather it is there but hidden from the driver.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Let us then see how to proceed to disable it.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">This process must be performed within a maximum of 60 seconds, otherwise deactivation does not take place:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">1.
