{"id":5538,"date":"2018-04-09T16:22:13","date_gmt":"2018-04-09T14:22:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.checkstar-techblog.it\/?p=5538"},"modified":"2024-01-12T16:15:45","modified_gmt":"2024-01-12T15:15:45","slug":"rottura-termostato-fiat-motorizzazioni-1-2-169a4000","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.checkstar-techblog.it\/en\/rottura-termostato-fiat-motorizzazioni-1-2-169a4000\/","title":{"rendered":"Fiat thermostat breakage, engines 1.2 (169A4000)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We would like to present below an interesting case that could happen to you with 1.2 engines of the FCA group, code 169A4000 (example Panda).<\/p>\n<p>The problem manifests itself with overheating of the engine and abnormal consumption of coolant or complete draining of the system.<\/p>\n<p>The component that in most cases generates the problem is the thermostat (code <strong>Fiat 7589135<\/strong>) which has a broken coupling to which the sleeve that transfers the coolant to the radiator located inside the vehicle interior is connected.<\/p>\n<p>This coupling could in fact be made of plastic material, which, given the operating temperatures, degrades rapidly compared to the thermostatic valve body, which is instead made of metal material.<\/p>\n<p>To minimise the problem, the original thermostat must be replaced with the modified version, which has the offending plug also made of metal.
