This is a problem affecting MINI models with petrol engines that are equipped with a high-pressure petrol pump.<\/p>\n<p>The case complained of is as follows :<\/p>\n<p>the engine has an irregular idle and does not pick up the revs when cold.<\/p>\n<p>When it warms up, it normalises and the engine runs well and accelerates smoothly.<\/p>\n<p>Diagnosis reads error 2880 pressure damper ventilation valve<\/p>\n<p>The solution came after an inspection of the high-pressure petrol pump<\/p>\n<p>It was useful to simulate the fault, with a warm engine, by disconnecting the electrical connection of the high-pressure petrol pump.<\/p>\n<p>With this test, we ascertained that the problem also occurred when it was hot.
