Below is the procedure for vehicles equipped with an electronic parking brake (EPB), in which the service mode must be activated before any work is carried out.
\nThen, when the repair is complete, remember to switch off the service mode to restore normal operation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Brake pad change service mode <\/strong><\/p>\n

Deactivate the electronically controlled parking brake by means of the EPB snap switch located in the floor console.<\/p>\n

Notes : To release the EPB, push the EPB switch. To insert the EPB, pull it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Activation of brake pad change service mode <\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Turn the ignition key to position II.
\n2. Depress the accelerator pedal fully and hold it down.
\n3. Press and hold the parking brake switch.
\n4. Turn the ignition key to position '0'.
\n5. Turn the start switch to position II within five seconds after completing the secondary operation.
\n6. Wait until the EPB is completely released.
\n7. Turn the ignition key to position '0'.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deactivating service mode <\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Turn the ignition key to position II.
\n2. Depress the accelerator pedal fully and hold it down.
\n3. Raise and hold the parking brake switch.
\n4. Turn the ignition key to position '0'.
\n5. Turn the start switch to position II within five seconds.
\n6. Wait until the EPB is fully inserted.
\n7. Turn the ignition key to position '0'.
\n8. Release the accelerator pedal.
\n9. Disconnect the parking brake switch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
