I am writing to you today regarding a FIAT Fiorino 1.3 D Mjet Engine code: 199 B1,000 Registration: 21\/03\/2012\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
CC: 1248 Kw: 70 with high engine oil consumption -<\/p>\n
We suggested checking the intercooler and intake manifold for the amount of engine oil inside. Checked the tightness of the compressor impeller and also had the play of the turbo shaft on the exhaust and intake side checked<\/p>\n
We have checked for the presence of oil in the air intake box. If this is the case, the probable cause is that the oil is coming from the blow-by circuit (defective blow-by, excessive sump level due to topping-up error or dilution x excessive regeneration);<\/p>\n
We had also assumed that the excessive engine oil consumption (the limit is 400 grams per 1000 km on a run-in engine) was due to worn piston rings, cylinder out-of-roundness, and valve guides with play.<\/p>\n
After carrying out all these checks, we identified the cause of the problem in the high-pressure side of the diesel pump where a pump part was damaged.<\/p>\n
The complete overhaul of the high-pressure pump led to the solution of the problem<\/p>\n
