Good morning everyone, today's 'tip', which I am very keen to provide, concerns a fairly common problem on Volkswagen Group cars: malfunctions in the FAP additive system (ADBlue).<\/p>\n

The car in question, an Audi Q5 2.0TDI 125kw (CGLB) from 2012, has a not inconsiderable peculiarity: after the urea tank (ADBlue) has been filled, the on-board computer still indicates the anomaly inherent in the low amount of additive in the car.<\/p>\n

\"\"The procedure to remedy this problem is very simple. All you need is a diagnostic tool!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the diagnostic tester (in my case a Magneti Marelli Vision<\/strong>) connected to the socket OBD<\/strong>set the vehicle data, so as to enter into communication with the ECU<\/strong> engine.<\/p>\n

Among the drop-down menu items \"Plant selection\"<\/strong>we must search for the entry PARTICULATE FILTER REGENERATION<\/strong> and then select it; select the type of motorisation (e.g. CGLB<\/strong>), then choose the type of control unit<\/strong> mounted on the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Once in the selection PARTICULATE FILTER REGENERATION,\u00a0<\/strong>select from the available entries, 'Coding'.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Among the drop-down menu items \"Encodings\"\u00a0<\/strong>you will find the function \"Adjusting tank values reducing agent'.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This function will then allow you to indicate to the engine control unit that the ADBlue additive has actually been topped up<\/strong>by eliminating the fault message on the instrument panel.<\/p>\n
