{"id":2899,"date":"2017-03-24T15:14:34","date_gmt":"2017-03-24T14:14:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.checkstar-techblog.it\/?p=2899"},"modified":"2022-11-11T14:46:09","modified_gmt":"2022-11-11T13:46:09","slug":"electronic-pedal-module-me200t-mm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.checkstar-techblog.it\/en\/electronic-pedal-module-me200t-mm\/","title":{"rendered":"ME200T ELECTRONIC FOOT PEDAL MODULE MM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With the introduction on modern cars of the 'drive-by-wire' system, combined with electronic injection, it has been possible to optimise the operation of the accelerator pedal, with which what is commonly called 'torque management' can be modulated.<br \/>\nAcceleration, pick-up and speed maintenance, and thus torque management, are therefore more precisely managed by the unsuspecting driver.<br \/>\nWhen tuning the engine, therefore, the manufacturer maps all pedal positions in relation to all engine components and parameters in order to have the best torque curve delivered under various conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, then, the injection control unit reads the position of the accelerator pedal and, based on this, delivers the corresponding mapped torque.<br \/>\nThe correspondence between accelerator pedal position and torque is commonly called 'pedal law' and is expressed as a percentage.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2903 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.checkstar-techblog.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/pedale.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"353\" height=\"264\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.checkstar-techblog.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/pedale.jpg 625w, https:\/\/www.checkstar-techblog.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/pedale-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 353px) 100vw, 353px\" \/>Let us now assume, with reference to the graph, that we reach maximum torque with the accelerator pedal position at 80%; by anticipating the pedal request (as shown) we will obtain that, with the same accelerator pedal position, the torque request will be greater; this in practical terms translates into greater engine readiness: excellent drivability at low load (city traffic or in the column) and safeguarding the basic performance of the engine.<\/p>\n<p>Which means, for example, that in the presence of turbo cars, the so-called 'turbo-leg' (where present), which is as annoying as it is critical, can be almost completely eliminated.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ME200T PEDAL MODULE INSTALLATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-125 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.checkstar-techblog.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/download.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"137\" height=\"157\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Installation of the ME200T pedal module on the car is really very simple.<\/p>\n<p>Once the accelerator pedal harness connector has been located, simply unhook it and replace it with the corresponding connector on the module harness (on one side);
